New cellist.

Last season a thrilling event took place: cellist Amber Docters van Leeuwen moved from New York to Amsterdam to immerse herself deeply into Ragazze-life. She did this with full devotion and enthusiasm.

But sadly, in the last few months it became clear that Amber’s many musical projects and ambitions, are difficult to combine with playing in a string quartet fulltime. Therefore all concerning players decided that it was time to search for a new Ragazze.

The next few months Kirsten Jenson will reinforce the Ragazze Quartet. The British cellist substituted for Amber several times last season and next to her musicality, her openness and flexibility made a lasting impression. Being able now to move from London to Amsterdam we are very happy to open the new season with Kirsten!

We thank Amber for her enormous effort last year, and wish her lots of success with all her future projects.
