Sarah’s Passion
Coproduction with Silbersee

Sarah's Passion

After Match Girl Passion, Silbersee again presents a modern passion, together with the Ragazze Quartet and philosopher Ger Groot. Sarah’s Passion is a visual performance with compositions by Arvo Pärt — a concert staged as spellbinding ritual.

Pärt reaches a worldwide audience with his music. His compositions reflect on the basic questions of human existence. Philosopher Ger Groot leads us into the world of Sarah’s Passion. There, we see the performers like slow-moving living tableaus by famous painter Edward Hopper. The performance leads the audience through fundamental life experiences: the wonder of birth, the compelling force of passion and finally the inevitable confrontation with death, which when accompanied by the consoling music of Pärt can also come as a welcome friend.
